Clegg Botanical Gardens

I was in heaven today! I took my kids to the Clegg Botanical Gardens and we had a blast. I was born and raised in Utah and I miss the mountains, trails, and just enjoying nature. Escaping to the mountains is not something you can do in Indiana, but this was wonderful! My kids loved every minute and my 3 year old Evan just hiked up those trails like a pro :) It's good to see that in him. After we hiked all morning I got down on my hands and knees and snapped some photos of the flowers.... it was worth every grass stain :) I decided that I need a macro lens... that would be fabulous! I might be going back tomorrow for a photos shoot, but I am not certain yet... if not tomorrow then definitely soon.

Spring!

I am just as anxious... if not more...as my kids are for summer to be here! I love Spring and the excitement it brings. I am also so happy to see the blossoms popping out :)

Today I took photos of my daughter (she is 20 months old now) and I was sad that I didn't have a cute umbrella or another fun spring "prop." Then I remembered our little watering can and it worked perfectly and I got some fun photos that I am so happy to have.....

Spring.... thanks for coming back! You are more then welcome to stay for a while.... we are glad that the snow is finally gone for good :)

randomness...

Here are some old photos that I took awhile back. I've been playing around with photoshop and I've been having too much fun :)

The texture behind the pictures of this rose is actually just the screen from my window. I thought it ended up looking pretty cool.

I took these butterfly pictures with my canon powershot back in the day...

More of the rose, I really like this vintage look...

Butterflies

I am so excited about these... my first butterfly photos! My family and I went to Columbian Park Zoo and I had so much fun with the butterflies! I already want to go back and take some more pictures. These pink daisies were fun and the butterflies loved them...I absolutely loved this tea set. I was so excited when this little gal stopped for a tea party.I know that the focus is all wrong, it would have been so perfect if the focus was on the butterfly.
