Just about 2...

I have too many favorites from this session!! I got so many great smiles from this little guy! He was on the move through the whole session and we had a blast.

I have never met a child who likes sports and balls as much as this little guy! He loves football :)

I just love these running photos, cute!

Don't let these pretty green pictures deceive you :) It was surprisingly cold that morning, and windy! We stuck through it though and had a ton of fun. Every picture was worth being out in the cold!

This little guy is just too cute! I love his outfit, his hair and his big blue eyes. He didn't want his photo taken.... but I still had fun with him and surprisingly we got some cute shots.

I loved this session, and I loved this location! I also loved that we did it early this morning... what a perfect time for photos. This family was so easy going and they had so much fun together. They weren't camera shy one bit and that made my job so easy! I loved it all so much that I've been glued to the computer editing these photos all day.... well not ALL day....

I have to start with my favorite photo.... this is the moment that I just wait for during a session. Look how much they love their little boy, so sweet!

I also have to end with a favorite, I LOVE this photo... look at those beautiful eyes! (and his cute shoes :)) What a sweet moment.

Spring!

I am just as anxious... if not more...as my kids are for summer to be here! I love Spring and the excitement it brings. I am also so happy to see the blossoms popping out :)

Today I took photos of my daughter (she is 20 months old now) and I was sad that I didn't have a cute umbrella or another fun spring "prop." Then I remembered our little watering can and it worked perfectly and I got some fun photos that I am so happy to have.....

Spring.... thanks for coming back! You are more then welcome to stay for a while.... we are glad that the snow is finally gone for good :)

Molly

A couple weeks ago my little sister, Bethany, came to visit and we were able to do a photo shoot together! It was so fun to have a photog friend to shoot with. I will definitely miss having her here.

I am in love with so many of the photos from this shoot! I decided to do a separate "Molly" post just because I love so many of the photos of Molly. She just loved being in the center of attention and Bethany and I just loved her cute smiles. I will be doing a family post as well so stay tuned!

Just for fun...

I wasn't too happy with my fix-it today so I thought I'd take what I learned from it and apply it to a different picture. I am more happy with this photo than the last.... but I do LOVE that photo.... I just didn't do a very good job with it. I also love this photo of my niece. I just didn't like the gray and blue tones in her skin and shirt.

I adjusted the curves and then added a layer mask and used invert (just like I did in my fix it below). I also used PW's seventies action.... I love that action.

 

I also have been playing around with textures and I love textures! Just not on all photos. But it actually turned out nice on this one...

 

Sun Flare

Today at iheartfaces there is a tutorial on creating sun flare, I am having tons of fun with this!! I am still learning and there are things that I need to fix, but I wanted to share a few that I've done...

Girl Talk

I realized that I haven't posted this picture yet, and I had too :) I can't get over how much I love it. I love how much Kiah is concentrating on that phone. I love that the little guy in the back is staring at her almost like he is thinking "what about me??" I also love the light and the colors. So pink, bright and soft. I can't stop looking at it :)

Happy Valentines Day!!

Editing...

It's about time... I am finally giving Photoshop a try :) I was so worried that it would just overwelm me and I'd give up, but I was so wrong and I am loving it!! I was starting to hate Picnik (don't get me wrong... it's a great program but... yeah. I am ready for something more), no more uploading photos, resizing, or restarting my browser. Yeay!! Here are two photos that I just love of Evan. I tried some editing with Picnik and just couldn't get it right. Now I am so happy with these photos! I used Pioneer Woman's Photoshop Actions (seventies and quick edge burn) after adjusting the levels in these two photos. What do you think? I liked the seventies action because it got rid of the red tone to Evan's skin. It also gives it a nice glow.
